Apparel Law

The field of law known as "apparel law," usually referred to as "fashion law," is a new one that deals with concerns about all aspects of a garment's existence, from design to brand protection. Designers, fashion companies, distributors, producers, modelling agencies, retailers, and photographers are some of the clientele of the fashion legal industry.

Fashion lawyers provide clients with legal advice on matters pertaining to the garment, luxury, footwear, jewellery, cosmetics, and fashion industries. These cover a wide range of topics, including intellectual property, employment, and labour relations, as well as licencing, merchandising, distribution, and franchising agreements. Concerns about consumer protection, sustainability, and safety are among them. There are also a number of business, tax, real estate, and corporation law considerations.
